When I was growing up, we would go to the State Fair as a family every year. Aubrey and I would enter the twin contest, we would eat all the yummy food, visit all the booths and we would not leave until we had our turn on the big yellow slide. So it's only appropriate that I start this great tradition with my own family and that's how we spent Hallie's birthday, just the 3 of us!
Hallie got to ride a horsie for the 1st time! Surprisingly, she loved it and the horses were so little that it was perfect.
Here we are at the top of the big yellow slide... it was everything I remembered it being~ just to see Hallie's face after it was all over was priceless, she loved it! I had to take a picture of the slide because it really is quite large. I thought I might go into labor climbing those stairs!!
Hallie also got to pet the lambies~
When we got home, Brett and I had one last gift for her to open... yep that's right, Elmo slippers!!

Ooops! I forgot that her birthday was the day AFTER 9/11 and not the day BEFORE!! My fault - but Happy Birthday anyway! Love your new slippers too!!

The fair brings back so many great memories for us. We loved the big yellow slide, and all the good food! Hallie is looking at the pic's we us and she loves her Elmo's slippers!!
