Brett and I got to go to Hawaii with his company last week and it was amazing! Great weather, relaxation, good food and friends made our trip to paradise so much fun.
One day we drove to Waipioa Valley to see the black sand beaches. It was a little foggy that day so you cant really see it too clear but it was beautiful. The only way to the beach is to 4 wheel down this steep dirt road, we heard that you can hike down to it but it is a 2hour hike back up! Thats how steep it really is!
another day we went to Captain Cooks Monument and snorkeled. Im not a huge fan of snorkeling but I really started to like it especially when I saw how many fish there were and how beautiful it was. The captain of the boat also took us around to see the lava rocks and to watch the dolphins.
we were lucky enough to be really close to see the spinner dolphins. They are smaller than most dolphins and are so cute when they jump in the air and spin!
Brett just had to have a shaved ice! I had to take a picture of this because it was the biggest one we've ever seen... and the best part was they put ice cream right in the middle!

we stayed at the Waikaloa Hilton. It was beautiful so i took some pictures of our resort. It was so big that they had a monorail and boats to take us to our rooms. They had dolphins just swimming around in one pool, another pool where you can snorkel and see fish and some turtles, and they even had their own beach.
the best part was this ... every night they had a guy light the torches around the whole resort! It always made my nights!
this was a vacation of a lifetime for us! we had such a fun time getting to know Bretts coworkers and also having a little time just to be a couple again.

I did however miss my kids... ALOT! my friends all told me that it would happen but I didnt really think it would. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids so much and love being a mom, but it was a really looong winter for me and I needed a break. I think this trip made me realize how much I really love them.

Glad you had a good time, it would be fine to have the money to fly the whole family over, we are glad you are back and the kids I know missed you and so did we. haha. they were all so good and we had a good time too. I got more exercise in the last 8 days then I have all winter, thanks hallie for helping gma get some exercise. love to you
