The Holidays have come and gone and like always it was way too fast. We had a busy week filled with family parties and hanging out as a family.
Here are the kiddos in their Christmas clothes before church...getting good pictures of them are few and far between nowdays:)
every Dec. 23rd we go to temple square and see the lights. Brett proposed to me 8 years ago at the temple on that exact day... awww, how sweet! it's been tradition ever since.
Christmas eve is always spent the the whole Hewlett clan and this year we reenacted the Nativity. Hallie got to be the Angel and Cole was a shepherd but didnt really know what was going on or what he was supposed to do. So he sat with aunt Ash and played a game on her iphone. It was pretty cute though.
Christmas morning was priceless! Holidays are much better with children and it just keeps getting better the older they get. All Cole wanted was vroom vrooms(cars) and santa did not disappoint. He received the whole Cars collection!
just look at this face of hers! she woke us up at 7:45am to tell us santa had come. She got the beloved Peter Pan doll along with a tinkerbell doll too. He now sleeps with her every night in her bed:) At our house Santa doesnt wrap the main presents so Hallie didnt see her peter pan doll sitting on the couch by her stocking... Brett told her that he sees peter pan on the couch and she says, "oh, i didnt see him over there on the couch he must've been hiding". She loved every minute of that morning and so did we!
we go to my mom's house for brunch on christmas morning and open more gifts.
Cole, Hal and Brenna
we then go up to gma and gpa Hewletts house and open gifts there too. aunt Ash thought it would be funny to give the kids BYU stuff this year. Hallie got a cute, pink sweatshirt and Cole got a basketball and football that plays the fight song, the kids loved the gifts but Brett... not so much!!
we are truly blessed to be so close to both of our families and especially at this time of year. We had a wonderful christmas!

Love the post and seeing what the Hewlett clan does to celebrate christmas.
I can't get over your children's faces on christmas morning, very cute.
Wish we could have been there to celebrate with you.
Love ya
Christmas IS so much fun with kids! That cars set is great! I've never seen such a big one, I wish I would've started Charlie out with that one, he has a ton but thinks he needs every single one and they're hard to find without duplicating others in a set. Anyway, looks like a great Christmas!
Looks like santa was great to all. what a fun christmas. hope 2010 is good to us all. love ya
Love Cole and Hallie's face with their fave presents... SO CUTE!! You better not let them wear those byu items ;)
