I took no pictures of Easter. I had my camera out and waiting and when my kids started hunting for their baskets my camera decided to be stubborn and not work. I missed the moment, i missed their excitement on their faces and i missed the classic 'stand by your basket and smile' picture... I was bummed.
I still need to write it down for my sake.
Hallie woke us up at 7AM to announce that the easter bunny stopped by. They ran out to the living room to see the treats but that silly easter bunny hid both of their baskets!! But luckily he left a trail of easter eggs to where he hid them. Hallie followed the eggs to the bathroom where her basket was sitting in the bath tub and Cole's basket was hiding under the kitchen sink. The kids kept saying " that easter bunny is so silly".
Hallie got a new outfit, lots of candy, flip flops and a new swimsuit. When she found the swimsuit and was admiring it she turned to us and said in her grown up 4 year old way... "Hmm, I didnt know that the easter bunny shopped at Old Navy" we laughed and laughed and laughed:)
Cole got a new outfit, flip flops, alot of candy and a few new cars to add to his ever increasing collection. He loved to tell anyone who would listen that he found his basket under the "kitzen shink". We love these kids. ALOT!
We finished off the day with naps and Brett and I got to go to the afternoon session of conference with our neighbors while the kids played with Gma Hewlett. We had a wonderful dinner with the Hewletts and got to visit with Anthony and Ash for while before they headed off to school.
I feel so blessed to have both of our families so close and to have my kids know and love their grandparents as well as aunts and uncles. It was a great Easter.

You can take pics at moms house when Linds gets here :)
That's too bad your camera decided to not work. I hate when that happens. At least you wrote everything down so you can still remember the memory. Sounds like you guys had a wonderful day.
What a silly easter bunny. I can't wait to see your kids and give them loves. See you soon.
