Our Easter

We started our Easter festivities on Saturday at Gma and Gpa Hewletts with an Easter egg hunt. The Easter Bunny hid all of the eggs around the yard and Hallie and Cole didn't waste any time finding them. Hallie did find the golden egg and it had 4 quarters in it...

after that, Gma and Gpa took us and the kids to This Is The Place Park where they had baby animals to pet. Anthony and his "friend" Lauren came with us too. We took a ride on the train twice, rode the horses named Dale and Lucky, held baby bunnies and chicks, and they got to pet the lambs and pig. Hallie made a cute little bunny craft and we got to watch a sheep get a haircut. The weather was cold, but we had so much fun walking around and looking at all the cute animals and see all the fun that's going on up there.

Saturday night we went to moms house for dinner and had another Easter egg hunt. I don't think my kids ever got sick of looking for eggs and candy! Hallie helped Gma make cupcakes and a bunny cake and then after that we headed up to visit dad.

I love this tradition of sending up balloons to Papa. The kids look forward to it and I do as well, it makes me stop every time I see a balloon and think of my dad and how much I miss him. Our Easter was a good one this year, but every year it seems to get better the older my kids get! Happy Easter!

I am crying while reading your blog. I miss family so much, especially during the holidays. Its sad not to see my kids running around with cousins and finding eggs and candy.

Your kids are getting so BIG. I love cole's faces in each picture, such a character.

I miss you anne!
